HotPaw Morse Code Ringtone Maker Create ringtones with your own customized Morse Code messages. Don't bore people with yet another pop tune blaring from your phone. Be different... retro-tech. Communicate. Or just hide really funny messages in your ringtones for "special" people (be they your best friends or your worse enemies). Only other alpha geeks will understand. With Morse Code Ringtone Maker, you can customize the text and the Morse Code/CW speed (combined up to 30 seconds in length), as well as the the tone frequency. The Words-Per-Minute (WPM) speed is variable from 5 to 40 WPM. The tone frequency is customizable from 300 to 1200 Hz. On the customization page, you can also configure Farnsworth timing where the dots and dashes for each letter come even faster than the WPM of the letters. For different timbres, select Sinewaves, Square waves or Triangle wave for your sound. If you have the Apple GarageBand app installed on your iOS device, you can use GarageBand to install ringtones to your iOS device, without having to use iTunes Sync. A "Copy to Clipboard" button will appear after you create your Morse Code ringtone. This will allow you to paste your ringtone into GarageBand. To use GarageBand to install your Morse Code ringtone: first create a new Song in GarageBand; tap on a new track; paste the ringtone into the beginning of the track; go back to My Songs (using the upper left corner button); hit the Select button in the upper right; select your song; hit the Share button in the upper left corner; and hit the RingTone button. You will then be asked to name your ringtone. Hit the Export button to install your ringtone for phone calls or messages. You can also use this same GarageBand Share menu to delete any Morse Code ringtones you no longer want on your iOS device. If you don't have GarageBand installed on your iOS device, this app requires that you can Sync your iPhone using iTunes on your Mac or PC, and have done so previously. You can use either email or iTunes File Sharing to get your new ringtone files from this app into iTunes on your Mac or PC, where they can then be Sync'd to your iPhone. To get your ringtones from Morse Code Ringtone Maker into iTunes, connect your iPhone to iTunes running on your Mac or PC. Start iTunes on your Mac or PC. Connect your iPhone. Select your iPhone under Device on the left side of iTunes. Select Apps on the top of iTunes. Scroll down to File Sharing. Select Morse Ring from the list of Apps. Select your chosen ringtone from the list of documents, and save it to your disk. Then drag the .m4r ringtone file icon back from your disk onto iTunes. Or use the iTunes File menu for "Add to Library…" to select the .m4r file, and add it to your Library. To install the ringtone onto your iPhone after installing it in your iTunes Library, select Tones on the top of iTunes. Select Sync Tones. Then select which ringtones your want to Sync, then Sync. To customize someone's ringtone, select a contact from the Contacts app or within the Phone app on your iPhone. Hit Edit and you will be able to select a ringtone for that contact. Or use Sounds in the Settings app to set your global default ringtone. -- Support: http://www.hotpaw.com/morsecode1 email: rhn-support@hotpaw.com -- Version 1.3.1 - iOS 8.x update. - Added copy to clipboard (for pasting into GarageBand).
